Her career happy place is right in the middle of people and processes! A life-long learner, dreamer, and doer, she loves languages, storytelling, and sparking moments of connection between strangers. She believes in progressive change that is systemic and sustainable!
Zoe Krause

Zoe Krause (she/her), Learning Product Director, has a professional background in candidate and issue campaigns, and was politically raised by the reproductive rights, health and justice movement. Her roles in nonprofits have included administration and program delivery roles in research, museums, youth organizations and antiracism training. She is an organizer and facilitator on the clock and off in St. Louis, MO. She loves strategy conversations, baking and spending time outdoors.
Emily Cate

Emily Cate (she/her) has worked on-the-ground and from behind-the-screen at various non-profit and movement groups in labor, community and donor organizing for over 8 years. The organizer mantra, "If you didn't write it down, it didn't happen" informs her approach to data management and database customization. When not organizing data, she is organizing yarn into knit and crochet creations.
Emily Harris

Emily Harris is a seasoned organizational consultant and has been a team member at CLC since 2022. Specializing in CRM onboarding, implementation, and automation, Emily has supported organizations such as Springboard, the National Domestic Workers Association, Asian American Advocacy Fund, and Science Friday. Prior to her role as a consultant, Emily served as the Director of Programs at Springboard Enterprises. In this role, she managed a diverse portfolio of 20+ partner relationships with corporate affiliates, including leading the strategic development and execution of biotech innovation programs. Her expertise also includes directing organizational transitions to EveryAction CRM and fostering strong partnerships. She has a giant labradoodle named Billie.
Caitlin Lee

Caitlin taught herself EveryAction as a Communications Director at a regional nonprofit in 2019. She experienced first hand how much time and strategy it takes to build out a database, while managing team and volunteer adoption. Still, she fervently believes that this sometimes-niche-feeling work is necessary in order to scale progressive advocacy efforts; in doing so we can grow community, contest power, and shift outcomes. Since 2020 she's worked with a portfolio of organizations to creatively apply the tool in line with their missions. Caitlin is based in Houston, Texas, where she lives with her partner. Outside of work, Caitlin finds joy in swimming, reading, good food and friendships!
Emma Wakeman

Emma Parvaneh Wakeman, MA (she/her) is an Iranian-American feminist educator, writer, and data witch based in New York City. Originally from Atlanta, Emma has worked extensively in education and training. In her career, she has always had a teaching role in spaces ranging from academia to political organizing and refugee resettlement. She brings her affinity for breaking down complex concepts and language to the world of data management, CRM customization and training. Her passion for connecting with others through teaching and learning is a through line in all of her work. As is working in service of collective liberation, one lesson, one conversation, or one spreadsheet at a time. When she's not hard at work, Emma can be found watching murder mysteries with her partner, spending quality time with friends, and pretending to read books in public.
Chelsea Jackson

Chelsea has a background in Interior Architecture and has cultivated a wealth of experience across various fields, including retail window and furniture design, real estate admin and the service industry. Her journey has allowed her to showcase her adaptability and enjoyment of detail-oriented work. Since joining the CLC team in 2022, she has been flexing these muscles working on data processing projects. She currently lives in Atlanta, GA and enjoys spending time with her 14 year old cat, baking, thrifting and listening to music.
Edgar J Payano

Edgar is in pursuit of a world where well-being and racial equity are the norm. Throughout his career, a combination of empathy and strategy serve as his foundation for creating trusting relationships. He leveraged this combination to focus on small business and entrepreneurship development, with an ongoing theme of capital access – figuring out an impactful sequence of partners, strategy, programs, and experiments to provide more funding to founders, particularly for Black and Latino founders. Edgar is a lifelong learner, with particular interests in history, anthropology, and language. Delivering candor and understanding what is at stake when supporting clients and their respective missions, Edgar is motivated to center people and processes.
Mariam Matta

Mariam Matta (she/her) is a first-generation Egyptian-American activist, writer, artist, and data nerd based in Los Angeles. She has a research background in health inequities, Indigenous Knowledge, and environmental governance, as well as a professional background in tech, nonprofit operations, equity-based grant-making, and capacity building in community-based organizations. Dedicated to equity and justice, Mariam believes in a participatory holistic approach to database management, collaborating with social change leaders to assemble the puzzle of systems change theory, solution dependability, and mission alignment into tangible and robust data strategy.
